Congratulations, Elisabeth and James!
Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Burton Jensen of Leawood are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Elisabeth Jane Jensen, to James Marshall Leonard, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Allen Leonard of Denver, Colorado. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Welty Stewart of Prairie Village and Mr. and Mrs. Richard C. Jensen, Jr. of Prairie Village. Betsy is a graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School. She was a Jewel Ball debutante in 2008. Betsy earned a bachelor of journalism degree from the University of Missouri. She is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and is careering with DDB Chicago.
Her groom-elect is the grandson of Sue Ann Peterson of Overland Park, Mr. Jim L. Peterson of Goliad, Texas, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Donald Eugene Leonard. Jim is a graduate of Cherry Creek High School in Englewood, Colorado. He earned a bachelor of journalism degree from the University of Missouri. Jim is a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity and is employed with Leo Burnett in Chicago, Illinois. Theirs will be a September 27th wedding at Country Club Christian Church.
