Congratulations, Emily and Lucas!

Mr. and Mrs. Melville Wilson Perry III of Prairie Village are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Rhoades Perry, to Lucas Charles Short, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Charles Short of Hamilton, Kansas. The bride-to-be is a graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School. Emily earned a bachelor of science degree in social work from Miami University, and a juris doctorate from The University of Kansas School of Law. She is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, and a BOTAR, class of 2008. Emily is careering with Kennyhertz Perry, and is the Kansas State Representative for the 24th District. Her groom-elect is a graduate of Eureka High School in Eureka, Kansas. Luke earned a bachelor of arts degree in communications from The University of Kansas. He is employed by AT&T. Theirs will be an August 23rd wedding at Village Presbyterian Church.
