Jackson County CASA – Light of Hope Breakfast

April 5th was the date of Jackson County CASA’s 17th annual Light of Hope Breakfast at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center. More than 1,100 guests enjoyed a presentation of the Teresa Rabideau Award for Volunteer Excellence to Mary Lampton and the Light of Hope Award to The Gould Charitable Foundation and The Giving Brick. Guest Speaker Legend Walker, who will soon be aging out of the foster care system, shared the difference that her CASA volunteer had on her life.
