Jackson County CASA – Light of Hope Breakfast
Jackson County CASA held its 16th annual Light of Hope Breakfast on April 14th at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center. The featured speaker was Nicole Ross, who spoke about the adversity she faced as an older foster youth who aged out of the system. Carol and John Yorke received the Light of Hope Award, and Sam Mehaffie was given the Teresa Rabideau Award for Volunteer Excellence. Melissa Wood served as the honorary chairman.
