June 1st is the date for the Kansas City Art Institute’s 2013 Art and Design Auction at the school. Meg and Bill Zahner are the honorary chairmen, and Kathy and Mark Donovan and Mary and Richard Wetzel are serving as the co-chairmen. “Innovation” is the theme of the event and guests will enjoy delicious fare from Lon Lane’s Inspired Occasions, special live and silent auctions and entertainment by DJ Ashton Martin. Akio Takamori is the featured artist.
