2023 Jewel Ball Chairman

Anne Potter Russ (Mrs. Norbert Russ) will serve as the chairman of the 2023 Jewel Ball. The event will be held on June 17th at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. Anne is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George William Potter, Jr. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Webster Withers, Jr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. George William Potter. Anne was a Jewel Ball debutante in 1979, and has served in many capacities within the organization. 

Anne is a graduate of The Barstow School. She earned a degree in education from the University of Missouri – Columbia. Her numerous volunteer commitments have included serving as the president of the BOTAR organization, the board president of Quality Hill Playhouse, and the president of the parents’ association at The Barstow School. Anne is careering with Horizon Academy.

Anne and Norbert are the parents of Diana Withers Russ, who was a debutante in 2013, and Nicholas Potter Russ, who was a Gentleman of The Jewel Ball in 2015. The Jewel Ball benefits the Kansas City Symphony and The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. Holly Barnes Milledge (Mrs. Droste DeForest Milledge, Jr.) will serve as the vice chairman.
