Congratulations, Kyle and Joel!
Mr. and Mrs. William Terrence Kilroy of Our Town are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kyle Elizabeth Kilroy, to Joel Anthony Nelson, the son of Dr. and Mrs. Garth Nelson of Fort Collins, Colorado. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mrs. Dan Edward Maurin of Kansas City, Kansas, and the late Mr. Maurin and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Muir Kilroy. Kyle is a graduate of Notre Dame de Sion High School. She was presented at the Junior League of Johnson and Wyandotte Counties Community Ball and Cotillion in 2005, and was a Jewel Ball debutante in 2007. Kyle earned a bachelor of science degree in economics and marketing from the University of Missouri’s Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business. She is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, and is a BOTAR, class of 2011. Kyle is careering with Lockton Insurance in Denver, Colorado.
Her groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Norris Theodore Nelson of Santa Barbara, California, and the late Mr. Nelson and the late Dr. and Mrs. John Clarence Wohlrabe. Joel is a graduate of Poudre High School in Fort Collins, Colorado. He graduated cum laude from California Polytechnic State University with a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering and earned a master of science degree with distinction in electrical engineering. Joel is employed with NEI Electric Power Engineering as a licensed professional engineer in electrical engineering. Theirs will be an August 9th wedding at Country Club United Methodist Church.
