Rising Star Reflections – Trudy Gabriel
[/one_half]
From the Rising Star Class of 2010, Trudy Gabriel is one of Our Town’s treasured volunteers. In 1996, she retired from Hallmark after 34 years, and began her “second career” as a volunteer. Her first volunteer experience was as a docent for the Kansas City Zoo. Since then, she has served on the boards of the Friends of UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance, Quality Hill Playhouse and the Lyric Opera Circle. Trudy has also been the chairman for the Conservatory’s Crescendo, and recently was honored to serve as chairman, with her husband, for Russian Reverie – A Prelude to the 47th Season of the Harriman-Jewell Series and the 28th Annual Philanthropy Awards Luncheon.
