Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Wilson Lawrence of Mission Hills are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Blair Channing Lawrence, to Thornton Truss Tyson, the son of Mr. Daniel Paul Tyson of Our Town and Mrs. James Michael Hudnall of Oklahoma City. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mary Ann Wiles Hamilton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Brooks Channing Noah, and the late Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth Evermont Lawrence. Blair is a graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School and earned a bachelor of science degree in journalism from The University of Kansas. She was a Jewel Ball debutante in 2001 and is a BOTAR, class of 2004. Blair is a member of Chi Omega sorority and is careering with Trozzolo Communications Group.

Her groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Delbert Leon Jones of Oklahoma City and the late Mr. Jones, and Mrs. Daniel Paul Tyson of Oklahoma City and the late Mr. Tyson. Truss is a graduate of Rockhurst High School and The University of Oklahoma. He earned a master’s in business administration from Rockhurst University. He is a member of Delta Tau Delta and is employed by Key Bank Real Estate Capital in Overland Park. Theirs will be a June 16th wedding at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church.
