Mr. and Mrs. Scott William Sayler of Our Town are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Elizabeth Sayler, to Richard Allen Zahner III, the son of Cindy Ann Zahner of Roeland Park and Mr. Richard Allen Zahner, Jr., of Nashville, Tennessee. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Anthony Zarda of Shawnee and Mr. and Mrs. John William Sayler, Jr., of Mission Hills. Megan is a graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School. She earned a bachelor of science degree in journalism from The University of Kansas and a master’s degree in elementary education from DePaul University. Megan was a Jewel Ball debutante in 2007. She is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and is careering with Prairie Elementary School.

Her groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Ross Eugene Shipley of Hoxie, Kansas, and the late Mr. Shipley and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Allen Zahner of Leawood. Ricky is a graduate of Bishop Miege High School. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in economics from The University of Kansas. Ricky is a member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity and is currently employed with Thomas McGee, L.C. Theirs will be a June 1st wedding at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church.
