Kansas City Jazz Orchestra – Gala 2017, “Celebrating KC Jazz Legends”
May 13th was the date for Kansas City Jazz Orchestra’s Gala 2017, “Celebrating KC Jazz Legends.” The event kicked off with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at The American. Following that, the orchestra, led by Clint Ashlock, artistic director and conductor; gave a concert at Helzberg Hall in the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. Millie Edwards Nottingham, Bobby Watson and Will Matthews were the guest artists. Deanna and Greg Graves served as honorary chairmen, and Linda and Gene Hall were the event chairmen.
