The Jewel Ball

The Jewel Ball was held on June 16th at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. Pamela Sutherland Gyllenborg (Mrs. John Eric Gyllenborg) served as the chairman. Joan Jenkins Bartlett (Mrs. Paul Dana Bartlett, Jr.) was the honorary chairman, and Margaret Hall Pence (Mrs. William Keith Pence) was the vice chairman. Sumptuous textiles and flowers in hues of saffron, curry and turmeric transported guests to distant, far-off lands, exposing them to a fusion of cultural experiences.
