YMCA – Cheers for Challenger

The sixth annual Cheers for Challenger wine tasting and auction was held September 16th at the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. Local sports celebrities, including Royals pitcher Bruce Chen and former Chief’s quarterback Trent Green attended to show their support. Jenny Burkhead served as chairman. Proceeds benefited the YMCA of Greater Kansas City’s Challenger program that gives kids and young adults with special needs an opportunity to play sports. Funds from the event will help expand the YMCA Sports Complex, including the Trent Green Family Field.
