15th Annual ArtsKC Awards Luncheon

The 15th Annual ArtsKC Awards Luncheon was held on March 8th at the Kansas City Convention Center. More than 1,000 guests enjoyed the creative event that featured acclaimed performers, an artist reception and Featured Artist Cheryl Eve Acosta whose sculptural pieces were on display before the event. Cheryl handcrafted each of the five awards that were given to exemplary arts leaders. Rachael and Kanon Cozad served as the chairmen, and Bob Regnier was the honorary chairman.

ArtsKC recognized five companies that have sponsored the ArtsKC Annual Awards Luncheon since its inception 15 years ago. Receiving the awards were Lisa Martin, University Health/Truman Medical Centers; Cora Storbeck, Hallmark Cards; Debby Ballard, Sprint; Dana Abraham, UMB; and Julee Koncak, Burns and McDonnell

 

Peg Billick, Lou Gemeinhardt, Jean Rau, Arlene Finney, Darlene McCluskey, Shirley Goetz, Beth Viehland, and Margot Matteson

 

Manuel “Lukky” Harvey and iPUSH “theCOMMUNITY” danced with Zen Nguyen and Dominique Young as Jeremy Bryan performed spoken word.
