Kansas City Ballet Bolender Society – Evening With Ramona
Members of the Kansas City Ballet Bolender Society had “Evening With Ramona” on their calendars for January 24th. That night, Melanie and Mike Fenske were hosts at The Carriage Club for Lady of the Camellias or How I Fell in Love with Chopin at Age 4 with Ramona Pansegrau, music director. Special performances by Sarah Curtis, mezzo-soprano, and Second Company dancers were part of the festivities, along with a cocktail and dessert reception. The grande finale: Devon Carney, artistic director, announced the 2019-2020 season. Bolender Society members were thrilled to learn that Adam Hougland’s Carmina Burana – and that’s a world premiere! – Devon’s own Swan Lake, Lila York’s Celts, George Balanchine’s Serenade, and Edwaard Liang’s Wunderland are on the horizon.
