Cheers to Volunteers – Heart to Heart International

Recent months have found Hallie Thompson devoting herself to volunteer work with Heart to Heart International, both here and in other countries. Most recently, she has been with the HHI disaster response team in Papua New Guinea, treating clients and training hospital and clinic staff on COVID-19 procedures. An earlier trip with the HHI disaster response team took her to Honduras following Hurricanes Eta and Iota. Locally, Hallie has assisted clients of the Hope Faith Homeless Assistance Campus. She previously worked as an emergency room nurse at Overland Park Regional and later as a nursing instructor at Johnson County Community College/Olathe School District. The married mother of three enjoys golf, tennis, pickleball, and traveling.
