The Belles of the American Royal – 2022 BOTAR President

The Belles of the American Royal are pleased to announce that Amy Ball Polen will serve as the BOTAR president for 2022. Amy is a BOTAR, class of 1991. In addition to leading several committees, Amy was vice president of public relations in 2006, vice president of The BOTAR Ball in 2012, and vice president of BOTAR in 2019. Her civic involvement includes leadership roles in the Shawnee Mission Parent Teacher Association and serving as president of the Sigma Chi Parents Club in 2021-2022. For six years, Amy has been the development coordinator of KC Scholars. 

Amy is the daughter of Joan Ryan Ball and the late Dr. David Allen Ball. She is a graduate of The Pembroke Hill School and The University of Kansas. Amy is a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. Her sisters, both active in BOTAR, are Jennifer Ball Jones, class of 1981, and Melinda Ball Roper, class of 1986. Amy is married to Dallas Allen Polen III. They are the parents of Harrison Allen Polen, Hayden Gessner Polen, and Annalie Polen, who was a BOTAR Page in 2012. 

The BOTAR Ball will be held on October 15th at the Muehlebach Tower of the Kansas City Marriott Downtown.
