Congratulations, Cassidy & Chan!

Cassidy Taylor Welge and Chandler Sherman McCray, Jr. exchanged wedding vows on June 1st at The Greystone Inn in Lake Toxaway, North Carolina, in a beautiful lakeside ceremony. Cassidy is the daughter of Julie and Scott Welge of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; and she is the granddaughter of the late Dorothy and William Humphrey and Crella Jane Welge of Chapel Hill, and the late Thomas Welge. Chan is the son of Sandra Morello McCray and Patrick James Oaks of Prairie Village, Kansas, and Heather and Chan McCray, Sr. of Mission Hills, Kansas. He is the grandson of Mary Josephine Morello of Canton, Ohio, and the late Frank Anthony Morello; and Tinka McCray of Prairie Village, Kansas, and the late Harry McCray, Jr. 

The groom’s parents hosted a lovely rehearsal dinner the evening prior to the ceremony at The Lakeside Restaurant at The Greystone Inn, and the bride’s parents hosted the elegant reception at The Greystone Inn. Standing with the bride and groom were the attendants: Morgan Rhyne, sister of the bride; was the matron of honor, and the bridesmaids were Courtney McCray Swope and Caroline McCray, sisters of the groom; Louisa Terrault, and Anne Whitener. The best man was Daniel Tucker, and the groomsmen were Nicholas Rhyne, Christopher Swope, Greg Korngut, and Tyler Britt. 

Following a honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple is at home in Mission, Kansas, where Cassidy is pursuing a degree from the Kansas City University College of Medicine, and Chan is employed with McCray Lumber Company.
