Heart of America Shakespeare Festival

February 15th was the date for Heart of America Shakespeare Festival’s Romantic Revels event, which was held at the InterContinental Kansas City at the Plaza. Martha and Stephen Platt were the honorary chairmen, and Barbara and Robert Bloch were honored with the Founder’s Award. The evening featured a “Film Noir” theme, and guests enjoyed cocktails, a silent auction, a gourmet dinner, and dancing. HASF actors and Bill Ye, board member, shared a bit of Shakespeare with Film Noir flair. Drs. Susan and Charles Porter hosted the Patron Party at their beautiful home. The Festival will produce its 33rd season production, Love’s Labour’s Lost, in Southmoreland Park this summer.
