Mr. and Mrs. James Clark Gabriel of Overland Park, Kansas, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Sarah “Esther” Kennedy Gabriel to Tyler Scott Bierman, the son of Mrs. Randall G. Bierman of Sparta, Illinois, and the late Mr. Bierman. Esther is the granddaughter of Dr. Eileen Duggan of Leawood, Kansas, and the late Dr. and Mrs. Timothy Driscoll Kennedy; and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Thomas Gabriel of Overland Park, Kansas, and the late Nancy Kay Gabriel. Tyler is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Vosholler and Mrs. Joe Bierman of Willisville, Illinois, and the late Mr. Bierman.
Esther graduated from Saint Thomas Aquinas High School. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in English language and literature from Washington University in St. Louis, and a master’s degree in library and information science from the University of Missouri. Esther was presented at the Junior League of Wyandotte and Johnson Counties’ Community Ball and Cotillion in 2013.
Tyler graduated from Sparta High School in Sparta, Illinois, and he earned a bachelor of arts degree in advertising and marketing communications from Webster University. Esther is employed with Washington University in St. Louis, and Tyler is employed with News Exposure, LLC. The couple is planning to exchange wedding vows at The Thaxton in St. Louis, Missouri, on October 10th.
