Mrs. Anthony Francis Porto, Jr. of Leawood is pleased to announce the engagement of her daughter, Stacy Ann, to Lawrence Douglas Bernabe, Jr., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Douglas Bernabe, Sr. of St. Louis, Missouri. Stacy is the daughter of the late Dr. Anthony Francis Porto, Jr. Stacy is a graduate of St. Teresa’s Academy. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in sociology from University of Denver and a juris doctorate from University of Denver Sturm College of Law. Stacy is a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority. After working for President and Mrs. Obama during his first administration, she is now careering as an attorney and political consultant with Porto Consulting and as a real estate agent with Reece & Nichols.

Her groom-elect is a graduate of De Smet Jesuit High School in St. Louis. Lawrence earned a bachelor of arts degree in marketing from Rockhurst University. He is a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, and is employed by the Macfarlane Group. Theirs will be a November 9th wedding at St. Francis Xavier Church with a reception at Indian Hills Country Club.
