Human Relations Dinner – Henry Bloch
November 24th is the date for the Jewish Community Relations Bureau l American Jewish Committee’s Human Relations Dinner to be held at the Sheraton Kansas City at Crown Center. Anita B. Gorman, Phil Kirk, David H. Westbrook, and Kristi Wyatt are serving as the co-chairmen. The Honorable John Lewis, Congressman from Georgia and civil rights icon, will be the featured speaker. James B. Nutter, Sr. will receive the 2013 Henry W. Bloch Human Relations Award. Henry Bloch’s quiet brand of leadership and compassion have set a benchmark for community activism. He is a man devoted to principle, a caring visionary of exemplary character and integrity, a role model in the pursuit of justice, and an inspiration to the citizens of our community.
