Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas – The Gathering
September 24th was the date for The Gathering, a new event launched by Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas. More than 100 guests attended, and Lon Lane and Stewart Lane, both with Lon Lane’s Inspired Occasions; demonstrated a variety of unique techniques for preserving and pickling. A new book, Serving Kansas City…New Roots, was released in conjunction with the event, and more than $10,000 was raised for the featured program, New Roots for Refugees.
