Awesome Ambitions – Purse-onality 2023
The Gallery Event Space was the site for Awesome Ambitions’ Purse-onality 2023. The festive event featured two fashion shows, a brunch, and entertainment from Eboni Fondren. Awesome Ambitions girls modeled purses on the runway and mentioned positive character traits that they always carry with them, just like purses. The event chair, Fahteema Parrish, orchestrated a lovely afternoon to raise funds to support Awesome Ambitions, which is a college and career readiness program designed for Black and brown girls in the Greater Kansas City metro area who often face challenges to accessing information, experiences, and opportunities to meet supportive women executives and explore career options.
