Mr. and Mrs. Bert Lyon Benjamin of Overland Park are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Blair Yukon Benjamin, to Daniel Mark Aires, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Julian Aires of San Diego, California. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Yukon and the late Mr. and Mrs. David Joel Benjamin. Blair is a graduate of The Pembroke Hill School. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in advertising from Southern Methodist University. Blair was presented at The Jewel Ball in 2002. She is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and is careering with Edelman in New York, New York.

Her groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Abe Tradonsky of Johannesburg, South Africa, and Mrs. David Aires of San Diego, California, and the late Mr. Aires. Daniel is a graduate of La Jolla High School in La Jolla, California. He earned bachelor of arts degrees in political science and international affairs from The George Washington University. Daniel earned a juris doctor from The Benjamin Cardozo School of Law. He is employed with Schulte Roth & Zabel in New York, New York. Theirs will be an August 31st wedding at the InterContinental Kansas City at the Plaza.
