Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Barton, Jr. of Prairie Village are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Caroline Ree Barton, to Ryan Jeffrey Tudas, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Alan Tudas of Leawood. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fredrick Downey and the late Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Barton. Carrie is a graduate of Notre Dame de Sion High School. She was a Jewel Ball debutante in 2009. Carrie earned a bachelor of arts degree in communications from the University of Missouri. She is a member of Chi Omega sorority. Carrie is a BOTAR, class of 2013, and is employed with Brush Creek Partners.

Her groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. Robert Francis Murphy of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, and the late Mrs. Murphy and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Tudas. Ryan is a graduate of Blue Valley North High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in accounting from The University of Kansas. Ryan is a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He is a lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps and is a helicopter pilot stationed at Camp Pendleton in California. Theirs will be an October 14th wedding at St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
