Congratulations, Ericka & Jim!

Lisa Schubert Hickok and Mr. John Dible Hickok, Jr., of Kansas City, Missouri, and Mr. and Mrs. Bart Carl Schubert of Coronado, California, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Ericka Jean Schubert, to James Austin Howe, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kerry James Howe of Albuquerque, New Mexico. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Donald Eugene Merrill, Donna Jean Adams of Indianapolis, Indiana, and the late Mr. Charles William Schubert. Ericka was presented at the Junior League of Wyandotte & Johnson Counties’ Community Ball and Cotillion in 2009. She is a graduate of The Pembroke Hill School. Ericka was a Jewel Ball debutante in 2011 and is a BOTAR, class of 2014. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in honors philosophy from Boston College and a master’s degree in business administration from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. Ericka is a consultant and is self-employed. 

Her groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Abraham Wallace and Mr. Bruce Alan Howe of Neenah, Wisconsin, and the late Mrs. Howe. Jim is a graduate of the Albuquerque Academy. He earned a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from Rice University. Jim received a master’s degree in business administration from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in education from the University of Virginia’s School of Education and Human Development. He is employed with the Boston Consulting Group in Denver, Colorado. Theirs will be an October 14th wedding at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards in Charlottesville, Virginia.
