Katherine Sue Kissick and Michael Philip Pappas exchanged wedding vows at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Kansas City, Missouri, on May 31st in a beautiful ceremony surrounded by family and friends. Katie is the daughter of Stephanie and Rob Kissick of Leawood, Kansas. She is the granddaughter of the late Sonya and Cotton Smith; and Joan and Robert Kissick of Leawood, Kansas. Michael is the son of Lexie and Steve Pappas of Overland Park, Kansas. He is the grandson of Lexina Swanson of Enid, Oklahoma, and the late J. Russell Swanson; and the late Mary Louise and George Pappas.
Prior to the ceremony, the couple was toasted at a lovely rehearsal dinner hosted by Lexie and Steve Pappas at the rooftop of The Fontaine. Following the nuptials, Stephanie and Rob Kissick hosted the gorgeous reception at Mission Hills Country Club. Maggie Kissick, sister of the bride; served as the maid of honor, and Ally Pappas, sister of the groom; Tieg Brown, Ava Davis, Hannah Eldred, Julia Hager, Elena Humphrey, Chandler McKee, Callie McPhail, Claire Stradinger, and Laney Zabroske were the bridesmaids. Nick Pappas, brother of the groom; served as the best man, and Bobby Kissick, brother of the bride; Michael Ash, Alex Blau, Caleb Fehr, Luke Fields, Tanner Gill, Lucas Karlin, Brian Kirkpatrick, Jack Mitchell, and Sean Murray were the groomsmen. The ushers were the bride’s cousins, Teddy Larson, Tommy Larson, and William Larson. The attendants were Gus Faulkner and Jesse Faulkner, cousins of the bride.
The newlyweds honeymooned in Saint Martin and Anguilla, and they are at home in Kansas City, Missouri, where Katie is employed with VML, and Michael is employed with Dentons law firm.
