Kay Marie Peterson of San Francisco, California, and Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Charles Friedrichs of Bellaire, Texas, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Marie Friedrichs, to Steven Willis Pendleton II, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Edwards Pendleton of Our Town. Lauren is the granddaughter of Mr. Robert Charles Peterson of San Antonio, Texas, and the late Mrs. Peterson and Mrs. Edwin Emil Friedrichs of San Antonio and the late Mr. Friedrichs. Lauren is a graduate of Mirabeau B. Lamar High School in Houston, Texas. She earned a bachelor of science degree in advertising and public relations from Texas Christian University. Lauren is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, and is careering with Boxwood Interiors in Houston. 

Her groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Herbert Willis Pendleton of Our Town and the late Mr. Pendleton and the late Dr. and Mrs. Walter Gainey Thwaite. Will is a graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School. He was a Jewel Ball floor committee member and escort in 2005. Will earned a bachelor of science degree in marketing from Texas Christian University. He is a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity, and is employed with Swagelok Houston Center. Theirs will be an October wedding at The Ford Plantation in Richmond Hill, Georgia.
