Congratulations Lauren & Teddy!
Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Lee Kenworthy of Falls Church, Virginia, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Kenworthy, to Edward Shifrin Bloch, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Morton Bloch of Our Town. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Major General Roger Scheer (USAF Ret.) of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, and the late Mrs. Scheer and Mrs. Joe Kenworthy of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and the late Mr. Kenworthy. Lauren is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Alexandria, Virginia. She earned bachelor of arts degrees in English and biology from the University of Virginia. Lauren is currently working toward a master of public administration degree from American University. She is a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, and is careering with Hickory Ground Solutions in Washington, D.C.
Her groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin G. Shifrin of St. Louis, Missouri, and Mr. Henry Wollman Bloch of Our Town and the late Mrs. Bloch. Teddy is a graduate of The Pembroke Hill School. He was a Jewel Ball floor committee member and escort in 2006. Teddy earned a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Princeton University, and a master of sports industry management degree from Georgetown University. He is a member of Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity, and is employed by Octagon in McLean, Virginia. Theirs will be a September 20th wedding at the Washington Golf and Country Club in Arlington, Virginia.
