Patricia Elbel of Overland Park and Donald R. Elbel, Jr. of Leawood are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lucy Jane Elbel, to Samuel Robert Salem, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Salem of Maple Grove, Minnesota. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Charles O’Connor and the late Mr. and Mrs. Donald R. Elbel. Her groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. Robert Loberg of St. Paul, Minnesota, and the late Mrs. Loberg and Mrs. Samuel Salem of New Kensington, Pennsylvania, and the late Mr. Salem.
Lucy is a graduate of Blue Valley West High School, and Samuel graduated from Maple Grove Senior High School. They both hold degrees from Trinity International University: Lucy earned a bachelor of arts degree in psychology, and Samuel received a bachelor of arts degree in history. Lucy is employed with the Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park. In May, Samuel completed his studies for a master’s degree in education from Eastern Nazarene College. Theirs will be an August 5th wedding at The Gallery Event Space.
