Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. John Halcomb!

Sarah Amelia Manda and John Talmage Halcomb were married on September 1st at Pleasant Hill First Presbyterian Church in Pleasant Hill, Missouri. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Gillam Manda of Pleasant Hill. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. John Edwin Young of Our Town, and the late Mr. Young, and Mrs. Edward Arnold Manda, Jr., of Pleasant Hill, and the late Mr. Manda. Her groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Halcomb of Schochoh, Kentucky. John is the grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. Richard Byron Donaldson and the late Mr. and Mrs. Will Frank Halcomb. On the evening prior, Mr. and Mrs. Don Halcomb hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Arrowhead Yacht Club. Following the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Gillam Manda hosted a reception at the Pleasant Hill Memorial Building. Anne Parrott served as the matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Susan Manda and Whitney Manda, sisters-in-law of the bride; Stephanie Halcomb, sister-in-law of the groom; Abbie Young, cousin of the bride; and Amy Blair, Jill Scott and Courtney Austin. Don Halcomb, father of the groom; served as best man. The groomsmen were Frank Manda, Jay Manda and Will Manda, brothers of the bride; Sam Halcomb, brother of the groom; and Jason Carter, Jake Henderson and Carter Lillard. The happy couple enjoyed a wonderful honeymoon in Hawaii. They are at home in Lafayette, Louisiana, where John is employed with BP Biofuels.
