Sophia Julieta Dominguez-Heithoff and Lucas Cole Ehly will be wed on October 16th at the Church of Santo Domingo de Guzmán, in Oaxaca, Mexico. Sophia is the daughter of Amy Heithoff-Dominguez and Mr. Andrés Dominguez of Parkville, Missouri. Luke is the son of Dr. Julia Ehly and Dr. Christopher Ehly of Prairie Village, Kansas. Sophia is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Melvern Heithoff; and the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrés Dominguez. Luke is the grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. Spencer Trudgen; and Dr. Eph Ehly of Shawnee, Kansas, and the late Mrs. Ehly.
Sophia is a graduate of Park Hill South High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and international relations from The University of Kansas, where she became a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority and Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. Sophia went on to earn a juris doctor from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law. Luke graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from The University of Kansas, where he became a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity.
The couple was toasted at a lovely engagement party hosted by the bride’s parents at The Museum of Kansas City last November. Living in Los Angeles, Sophia is with Latham & Watkins, and Luke is employed with Oaktree Capital.
