Bridget Marian Pereira of Prairie Village, Kansas, and Mr. Mark Patrick Pereira of Shawnee, Kansas, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Tess Essex Pereira, to Mr. Mark Barnes Ward. Mark is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Selby Ward of Mission Hills, Kansas.
Tess is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Charles Ward of Fort Myers, Florida; and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Joseph Pereira of Mission Hills, Kansas. Mark is the grandson of Mrs. Bryant Page Barnes of Mission Hills, Kansas, and the late Mr. Barnes; and the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Larrick Ward.
Tess is a graduate of Notre Dame de Sion High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree from The University of Kansas, where she became a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Tess is employed with R&R Partners. Mark is a graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree from The University of Kansas, where he became a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. Mark was a Gentleman of The Jewel Ball and an escort in 2017, and he is employed as a private pilot. Theirs will be an October 10th wedding at The Kansas City Country Club.
