Congratulations, Sarah & Bernard!

Mr. and Mrs. William Love of Leawood and Mr. Christopher Smart of Mission Hills are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Ellen Smart, to Bernard Lee Parham, Jr., the son of Dr. and Mrs. Bernard Parham, Sr., of Chattanooga, Tennessee. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Dr. Marsha Pachter of Overland Park, Mr. Myron Wang of Prairie Village and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Smart. Sarah is a graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School. She was a Jewel Ball debutante in 2006. Sarah earned a business degree from The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. She is a BOTAR, class of 2009, and careers as a casting producer with Evolution Media in Burbank, California. 

Her groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Clift and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Parham, Sr. Bernard is a graduate of The McCallie School in Chattanooga. He earned a bachelor’s degree in English and American Literature and Language from Harvard University. Bernard is the co-founder of Homespun Pictures and a producer with STX Entertainment in Hollywood, California. Theirs will be an April 22nd wedding at the Kansas City Public Library Downtown.
