Mr. Steve and Dr. Jane Arbuthnot of Springfield, Illinois, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsey Marie Arbuthnot, to Robert Joseph Clancey, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Warren Clancey of Overland Park. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mrs. Frederick Theodore Westerhold of Bethalto, Illinois, and the late Mr. Westerhold and Mrs. Charles Frederick Arbuthnot of Bethalto, Illinois and the late Mr.  Arbuthnot. Lindsey is a graduate of Springfield High School in Springfield, Illinois. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in sociology and a bachelor of arts degree in communication from the University of Missouri and a master of science degree in criminal justice and criminology from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. Lindsey is a member of Delta Gamma sorority and is careering with the Johnson County District Attorney’s Office.

Her groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. Andrew Wendell Johnson of Topeka and the late Mrs. Johnson and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Joseph Clancey. Bob graduated from Shawnee Mission South High School and earned a bachelor of science degree in finance from The University of Kansas. He is a member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity and is employed by the Clancey Company in Lenexa. Theirs will be an October 6th wedding at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Springfield.
