October 25th was the date for the Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey’s 30th Anniversary G30 Gala at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. Sandra and Dr. Willie Lawrence and Anita and Gary Robb were the honorary co-chairmen, and Niki Lee Donawa and Nicole Corbett Wang served as the co-chairmen. Julia Irene Kauffman is the 30th Anniversary honorary chairman. More than 900 guests enjoyed “The ART of Dance” theme, a performance by the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, dinner, and dancing into the night with the Company.
