September 14th was the date for the Kansas City Rose Society’s annual Wine and Roses event. The Laura Conyers Smith Rose Garden provided the beautiful setting, where more than 200 guests enjoyed glorious weather. The festive event featured hors d’oeuvres and selected curated wines and entertainment from the UMKC Conservatory Graduate String Quartet. Proceeds benefit the maintenance and preservation of the rose garden, which was established in 1931.
