Kansas City Rose Society – Rose Day and Rose Show
June 2nd was the date for Kansas City Rose Society’s Rose Day and Rose Show. The beautiful event was held in the Laura Conyers Smith Municipal Rose Garden in Loose Park. Barbara McCanse was the Rose Show chairman, and Elizabeth Walters served as the Rose Day chairman. More than 300 roses were submitted for the competition, and Betsy and Ed Holland took home the top prize of Best in Show. The family-friendly event featured fun activities and treats, including an interactive children’s book experience with Tony Temple II and live music from Grand Marquis.
