MOCSA – Community Luncheon
May 1st was the date for Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA’s) Community Luncheon, which was held at the Muehlebach Tower of the Kansas City Marriott Downtown. Sarah Klein, former competitive gymnast and now a trial attorney who represents victims of sexual abuse and assault, was the keynote speaker. Heather Bortnick and Kathy Koehler were the honorary co-chairs, Leah and Arlan Vomhof and Holly Garber and Sujal Shah served as the community support committee co-chairs, and Monica Gray and Chris Gray were the event co-chairs. Heather and Jon Bortnick hosted the April 29th Patrons’ Party at their beautiful home. Proceeds support MOCSA’s mission to improve the lives of those impacted by sexual assault and abuse and prevent sexual violence in our community.
