Rising Star Reflections – Casey and Sloane Simmons
Casey and Sloane Simmons are sisters who co-own STUFF in Brookside. They were both Rising Star volunteers, class of 2012, and they share a passion for AIDS Walk Kansas City. The sisters have been volunteering for the walk together for many years, and it has become a yearly tradition. “I am never fully prepared for the emotions of that day,” says Casey, “In the minutes before the walk begins, you can feel the energy of so many caring, generous, committed and loving people and the bubble of hope they create.”
