Spotlight on Centurions – Christine Lara
Christine Lara is a member of Centurions Fall Class of 2020. She recently was elected to the Centurions steering committee. Christine serves on the Innovation and Disruption Task Force planning committee and the diversity and inclusion committee. Christine, the eldest of three siblings, is originally from Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean. She earned a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Howard University. Christine is a business excellence and innovation leader at Black & Veatch Corporation. Her volunteer activities include serving as a mentor to students in several STEM programs. Christine and her husband, Alex Lara, have a blended family that includes four children and Sparky, the cat who thinks he is a dog.
