Spotlight on Centurions – Derek Klaus
Derek Klaus graduated from the William Allen White School of Journalism at The University of Kansas in 2006. He is director of communications with Visit KC. As a member of Centurions Spring Class of 2020, Derek is a member of the social committee and the Trip Task Force – this year, the destination is Salt Lake City. In 2017, he joined the executive board of Lead to Read. Derek has served on boards and steering committees for the Society of American Travel Writers, the Public Relations Society of America, Kansas City Restaurant Week, and the Kansas City Host Committee.
