Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Warner Johnson of Our Town are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Adalaide Emma Johnson, to Robert Patterson Sutherland, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John William Sutherland II of Andover, Kansas. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Stewart McKie of Prairie Village and the late Mr. and Mrs. Donovan Warner Johnson. Ada is a graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School. She earned a bachelor of fine arts degree from the University of Michigan. She is a member of Chi Omega sorority and careers with Koch Industries in Wichita, Kansas.

Her groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. John William Sutherland of Overland Park and the late Mrs. Sutherland and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Patterson. Robert is a graduate of Andover High School in Andover, Kansas. He earned a bachelor of science degree in geology from The University of Kansas. Robert was a member of the Jewel Ball floor committee in 2005. He is a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity and is employed with Northern Lights Oil Company in Andover. Theirs will be a November 14th wedding at Country Club Christian Church.
