Mr. and Mrs. William Paul Straeter III of Leawood are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Margaret Allen Straeter, to Scott Henry Schoenfeld, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kemp Schoenfeld of Mission Hills. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Roger Davies and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Straeter, Jr. Maggie is a graduate of Notre Dame de Sion High School. She earned a bachelor of science degree in nursing from The University of Kansas. Maggie is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and careers with The University of Kansas Hospital.

Her groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Howard Helzberg of Birmingham, Alabama, and the late Mr. Helzberg and Mrs. Fred Schoenfeld of Mission Hills and the late Mr. Schoenfeld. Scott is a graduate of The Pembroke Hill School. He earned a bachelor of science degree in business from The University of Kansas. Scott was a member of the Jewel Ball floor committee in 2005 and a BOTAR escort in 2009 and 2010. He is a member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity and is employed with Voya Investment Management. Theirs will be a December 31st wedding at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church.
