Congratulations, Michelle & James!
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Mellard of Leawood are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Michelle Elizabeth Mellard, to James Henry Petersen, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Petersen, of Belleair, Florida. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mrs. George Himmelberg of Glasgow, Missouri, and the late Mr. Himmelberg and the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mellard. Michelle is a graduate of Notre Dame de Sion High School. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in American Studies from Stanford University and a master’s of business administration degree from Notre Dame University. Michelle is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and careers with Nike in New York, New York.
Her groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Henry Petersen of Holliston, Massachusetts, and the late Mr. Petersen and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Michael Cleary. James is a graduate of Allentown High School in Allentown, New Jersey. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in history and communications from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. James is employed with Nike in New York, New York. Theirs will be a June 10th wedding at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church.
