Rising Star Reflections – Meagan Dowell

This month, Meagan Dowell  is opening her own business, On the Ball, an upscale daycare and boarding center for dogs in The Shops at Prairie Village. This is a big change for Meagan, who is a certified public accountant. Even with a daunting work schedule, the Rising Star, Class of 2017, has always found time for volunteer work. Meagan served as co-chairman of Wayside Waifs’ annual Strutt with Your Mutt 5K Run and 3K Walk in 2018. She is a board member and past president of the Children’s Mercy Hospital Cancer Center auxiliary board. Meagan currently serves as board secretary and program and audio/video co-chairman of the Children’s Mercy Hand & Hearts auxiliary board. During the weekend of the auxiliary’s annual fundraising event, Red Hot Night, in 2018, Meagan volunteered more than 25 hours!
