Hunt Family Foundation – 101 Awards
The 50th annual 101 Awards, Kansas City’s salute to professional football, was held on February 29th. One hundred and one members of the national media selected the Offensive Players of the Year – Lamar Jackson and Michael Thomas, Defensive Players of the Year – Stephon Gilmore and Chandler Jones, and Coaches of the Year – John Harbaugh and Kyle Shanahan, and the recipient of the Lamar Hunt Award for Professional Football – Bart Starr. Also honored were Mecole Hardman, Mack Lee Hill Award/Rookie of the Year, and Tyrann Mathieu, Derrick Thomas Award/Most Valuable Player. Proceeds from this year’s event support The University of Kansas Health System. Since 2011, the event has generated more than one million dollars for its beneficiaries.
