Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey – 2022 Gala Benefit
April 9th was the date for Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey’s 2022 Gala Benefit. The evening started at the Folly Theater with a performance by the world-renowned Ailey II professional dance company from New York City, followed by dinner, a live auction, and dancing at the Kansas City Marriott Downtown. Debby Ballard was honored with the Janet K. Miller Award. A Gala Patron Party was held earlier in the week at the Fire House KC, where the Ailey II dancers mingled with the guests. Sharon and John Hoffman and Drs. Everlyn and Roger Williams were the honorary co-chairmen of the event that supports KCFAA’s year-round education and youth development programs that teach children critical life skills through dance.
