Mr. and Mrs. Sean Kevin Hogan of Mission Hills, Kansas, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Caroline Valentine Hogan, to Jacob Oscar Gerson, the son of Katharine Kwo Gerson of Kansas City, Missouri, and Mr. James Sigmund Gerson of Kansas City, Missouri.
Caroline is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John West Valentine of Mission Hills; and Patricia Louise Roberts of Prairie Village, Kansas; and Jacob is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. David Wei Kwo of Laguna Niguel, California; and the late Mr. and Mrs. Hans Peter Gerson. Caroline graduated from Pembroke Hill School, and she earned a bachelor of arts degree in journalism and fashion media from Southern Methodist University, where she became a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She was presented at The Jewel Ball in 2016.
Jacob graduated from Pembroke Hill School, and he earned a bachelor of arts degree in business and political science from the University of Virginia. He was a Gentleman of The Jewel Ball in 2012. Caroline is employed with the Country Club Plaza, and Jacob is employed with The Gerson Companies.
The couple is planning an October 10th wedding at Mission Hills Country Club.
